Paver Patio Built for a Hot Tub Setup

When a homeowner wants to add a hot tub, the surface it sits on matters more than most people realize. An uneven or soft base causes long-term problems - settling, cracking, poor drainage. We built this patio specifically to give the hot tub a clean, level foundation that will hold up for years without issues.

The large-format light gray pavers give the space a sharp, modern look while keeping things low maintenance. We framed the whole patio with a dark charcoal border that ties everything together and defines the edge cleanly. It's a small detail that makes a big visual difference.

Getting the base right is the part nobody sees, but it's the part that determines whether a patio lasts 5 years or 25. We compact the sub-base in layers, make sure drainage is accounted for, and set everything so there's zero flex or soft spots. That's what separates a patio that stays level from one that starts shifting after the first winter.
